Many users will have discovered that after completing Free rides or races that the activity .fit file has been saved to their VirtuPro Profile but not to STRAVA. There can be a number of reasons for this and most are of user error unfortunately.
The very first thing we have to establish is the users intension after any activity.
1. The user wishes to save the completed activity to STRAVA Manually or Automatically
a. To save your activity automatically please watch the short video on setting this up and confirming WATCH VIDEO HERE
b. To save your activity manually please download your fit file from your profile and then upload this file to STRAVA (read article first)
2. If after watching the short video your activity still fails to save automatically to STRAVA and the VirtuPro App has been confirmed to be in your STRAVA/Profile/settings/MyApps please read on.
3. The most likely problem is activity interruption, this can be caused if the internet signal has been lost at any point during your ride/race.
4. It is very rare now a days for signal drop out but if the user is connected via WiFi this is still common. For all rides we strongly recommend hard wire ethernet connection.
5. If you experience your activity not being sent to STRAVA please ensure the following before you contact VirtuPro Support:
a. You DO NOT make any changes with the App setting in STRAVA (do not revoke access).
b. DO NOT upload the activity .fit file from your profile.
c. If Dual recording, DO NOT upload any activity before contacting VirtuPro Support. In this case, STRAVA will always accept the first upload and the second is rejected. So, if VirtuPro activity is second in this situation, then the upload will not be successful and you will see the STRAVA result from the other source.
Future feature:
We are looking at an in game STRAVA prompt to SAVE BUTTON for user confirmation of action to be taken
In all cases of Automatic delivery failure of your activity to STRAVA please contact support@virtuprocycling.com firstly to allow us to check your profile and any data our server has received,
